—Lindsey to Tommy Doyle about The Boogeyman.[src]

Lindsey Wallace (born 1972) is a survivor of Michael Myers' massacre in 1978 thanks to Laurie Strode. She was babysat by Annie Brackett on Halloween night but later came under Laurie's care alongside her good friend, Tommy Doyle. Forty years later, Lindsey faced Myers for a second time and managed to come out as the sole survivor of the original victims.

Biography

Early Life

Lindsey Wallace was born in 1972 and presumably raised in Haddonfield, Illinois. At some point in her childhood years, she became good friends with her neighbor, Tommy Doyle, and presumably met both Annie Brackett and Laurie Strode after being babysat by them.

Being Babysat

Lindsey finds Annie.

On Halloween night, 1978, Lindsey's parents had planned a night out for themselves and asked Annie to look after her for the night. After they left, Lindsey sat in the living room and watched a horror movie on TV while Annie spoke on the phone to her friend, Laurie. After she spilt butter on her clothes, Annie went to the washroom and while she was gone, her boyfriend, Paul, called and Lindsey answered. He asked where Annie was and she told him that she would go and find her. She then discovered Annie, stuck in the window of the washroom struggling to escape. She helped her out and when Annie asked her not to tell anyone about what had happened, Lindsey gave no reply and simply ran back into the house.

After speaking with Paul, Annie asked Lindsey if she wanted to spend the night watching movies with Tommy Doyle and she excitedly agreed. The two took the bowl of popcorn over to the Doyle house where Tommy was being babysat by Laurie and once they arrived, Lindsey ran to sit beside Tommy and the two watched a movie together. Later, Laurie, Lindsey and Tommy finished carving the pumpkin and the two kids followed her as she carried it out of the kitchen. They all then sat on the couch together to watch the rest of the movie, just before the phone rang once again. After it had ended Lindsey and Tommy were put to bed by Laurie.

Michael's Attack

Later, the two were woken up by someone banging on the front door, causing Tommy to run down to open it. Laurie burst through the door and ordered Tommy to grab Lindsey and hide with her in the bathroom. After several minutes of scuffling from downstairs, Laurie knocked on the bathroom door and explained that she had finally killed The Boogeyman. However, he suddenly appeared from behind her and startled the kids, making Laurie throw them back into the bathroom and ordering them to lock the door. After even more scuffling, Laurie knocked on the door once again and told the kids to run to a neighbors house and ask them to call the police, which they did but not before grabbing the attention of a man in the street.[1]

After escaping from Michael's clutches, it can be assumed that Lindsey and Tommy followed Laurie's instructions and reached the house of a nearby neighbor, calling the cops to their location.

Aftermath of 1978

Dealing with Trauma

Presumably after Michael's attack, Lindsey greatly suffered with the trauma of facing the 'boogeyman' that greatly affected her life moving forward, leading her to suffer from severe anxiety for most of her life. Over the next forty years, Lindsey, Tommy and Lonnie Elam would remain close friends and possibly bond over their shared experience. At some point, the three also became acquainted with fellow Michael Myers victim, Nurse Marion Chambers, and the four stayed close friends over the years. Throughout her life, Lindsey is said to have had two failed marriages, one of them resulting in the birth of her son, Evan, who eventually moved away and rarely kept in contact with her. She is also said to have opened her own florist business, named Flowerworks.

Celebrating with Old Friends

Lonnie, Marion and Lindsey

Lindsey, Marion and Lonnie listen to Tommy.

On October 31, 2018, exactly forty years after the 1978 massacre, Lindsey met with Tommy, Lonnie and Marion at a local bar to spend such a difficult night together with friends. Once they arrived they loudly clinked glasses and cheered with amongst each other, catching the attention of a nearby couple, Marcus and Vanessa, who sternly asked the group to quiet down. After the talent show on stage finished, Lonnie called Tommy up on stage, who took the time to introduce each of the Myers victims, including himself, Lindsey, Lonnie and Marion. After the introductions, Tommy asked everyone in the bar to raise a glass to the reason they were all alive, Laurie Strode. After the speech, Lindsey sat at the bar with Tommy only to be approached by Marcus who apologized for earlier and offered to buy them all a round of drinks, just as both Marion and Vanessa also approached them.

The five all stood around the bar together before noticing Lonnie quickly run outside, insisting that his son, Cameron, was in need of his help. Just then, after everyone in the bar received an alert on their phones, Lindsey, Tommy and Marion listened to a television report of multiple murders being committed throughout the Haddonfield neighborhoods. After attempting to leave, Vanessa worriedly ran back into the bar and exclaimed that Michael hid in the back seat of her car, causing Tommy to grab a nearby weapon and Lindsey and Marion to accompany him towards the vehicle. After he hit the car, it suddenly started up and headed full speed towards Tommy, however, he managed to dodge it, sending it flying and crashing in the distance. As the group headed to investigate, they noticed that the driver was gone.

Hunting Michael

Later, after Tommy met up with Lonnie and Cameron outside of Haddonfield Memorial Hospital in order to gather weaponry for their hunt on Michael Myers, Lindsey, Marion, Vanessa, and Marcus all promptly arrived and offered their help in searching for the deranged killer. After the couple shared their reasons for being useful, Laurie's granddaughter, Allyson, suddenly showed up and grabbed a nearby shotgun, preparing the group to go on the hunt of their lives. They then split up, with Allyson travelling with Cameron and Lonnie and Lindsey, Marion, Vanessa and Marcus patrolling the streets of Haddonfield, searching for any sign of Michael.

Facing Michael

Eventually, the group stopped after noticing two children, Christy and Mindy, sitting alone in a nearby playground. Worried for their safety with a killer on the loose, Lindsey grabbed a flashlight and left that car to warn them to go home, right after receiving a warning to be careful from Marion. Once she approached the girls, Lindsey questioned why they were out alone so late and they explained that they had been trick or treating and were currently waiting for their friend Dennis to come back. After they also mentioned seeing a "creepy man in a white mask", Lindsey became extremely anxious and began looking around them for any sign of Michael before noticing him standing in the distance, holding a bloody knife and the now bloody skull designed mask of the girls' friend, Dennis.

Michael chokes Lindsey

Lindsey is choked by Michael.

She shouted at the girls to run and after noticing Michael beginning to attack everyone that was in the car with her, including Marion, she panicked and grabbed a nearby trick-or-treating bag and began filling it with rocks and bricks. After he had finished slaughtering Marion, Vanessa, and Marcus, Lindsey rushed up and bashed him over the head twice with the bag before he managed to grab her by the throat and pin her against her car. Struggling to breathe, she panicked and began pushing his mask off of his face, disorienting him and forcing him to throw her on the ground, allowing her the chance to run into the nearby woods. She stopped momentarily, looking back and seeing him quickly approaching, giving her the push to run deeper amongst the trees.

Eventually, she stopped and found a hiding place within the swamp below a park bridge, desperately holding her breath as she heard him slowly approach. He searched the area above her as well as the bridge itself before ultimately walking away, leaving an even further traumatized and distraught Lindsey behind. Later, Allyson, Cameron, Lonnie, and Tommy came across Lindsey's abandoned car, covered in blood but sparse of any bodies. After some time searching, they discovered Lindsey crying in the swamp, exclaiming about Michael still being out there. After calming down, Lindsey returned to her car with the group and reminisced with Tommy and Lonnie about their childhoods, reflecting on their history after losing Marion. Afterwards, they returned to Haddonfield Memorial and Lindsey was rushed inside by Tommy and the two parted ways for the final time as she was rushed off by the nurses.[2]

Aftermath of 2018

Laurie and Lindsey find Mrs Berlucchi

Lindsey and Laurie discover the corpse of a Haddonfield resident.

Later that night, after Michael vanished, Lindsey presumably learned of the many casualties of his massacre, including Tommy, Brackett, and Karen. Being unable to locate Michael's whereabouts, Lindsey, along with the rest of Haddonfield, lived in paranoia for the next few years, awaiting his return. Lindsey remained close with both Laurie and Allyson in the years following, frequently spending time with the two. She stood by Laurie's side as the corpse of a Haddonfield local, Mrs. Berlucchi, was discovered, having hanged herself from her home due to both paranoia about Michael and the grief of losing her son, Oscar. At some point within the years following, Lindsey became employed as a bartender, also becoming interested in tarot cards and using them as a hobby.

Personality

As a child, Lindsey was shown to be quite mischievous and sassy as after she caught Annie Brackett in an embarrassing situation, she didn't promise to keep it a secret and only walked away from her without an answer or explanation.[1] She later grew up into a strong and loyal woman, despite the potential damage done by Michael Myers. After becoming worried for the group of survivors, Lindsey willingly put herself into harms way in order to help her friends. Furthermore, she also came to develop a strong protective instinct, greatly risking her own safety to ensure that of two children that she was not even familiar with, similar to what Laurie did for her in 1978.[2]
