"Hey Michael! This is for Dr. Loomis."
—Marion's last words to Michael Myers.[src]

Nurse Marion Chambers (1948 – October 31, 2018) was a nurse at Smith's Grove Sanitarium and the co-worker and good friend of the late Dr. Sam Loomis. She was attacked by Michael Myers during his escape from Smith's Grove in 1978 but managed to survive. Forty years later, on Halloween, 2018, after Michael's second escape, Marion ultimately became one of his victims.

Biography

Early Life

At some point, Marion managed to become employed as a nurse at Smith's Grove Sanitarium, where she met and became good friends with Dr. Sam Loomis. During her time at the sanitarium, Marion also became aware of Michael Myers and his actions during his youth.[1]

When Michael turned twenty-one, he was required to attend court to figure out if he would be released or if he would remain in custody for the remainder of his life. On October 30, 1978, Marion accompanied Loomis when driving to Smith's Grove in order to pick Michael up. Once they reached the gate, the pair noticed that there were several patients wandering around the exit. Worried about the situation, Loomis quickly left the car and approached the group, neither of them realising that Michael had also escaped and was climbing onto the roof of the car.

He then grabbed onto Marion's hair, causing her to panic and accidentally accelerate the car forward, almost hitting Loomis. She then managed to break out of his hold and fall back onto the passenger seat, worryingly looking out the window. Michael suddenly smashed his hand against the window behind Marion, startling her and causing her to push the driver door open and escape, allowing Michael to run into the car and drive away. Loomis quickly made sure Marion was okay before ranting about Michael escaping and quickly running to inform the rest of the staff, leaving Marion in the dirt.

Eventually, after murdering several young townspeople in his hometown of Haddonfield, Michael was finally captured by the Haddonfield Sheriff's Department and reincarcerated.[1]

Aftermath of 1978

Assisting Loomis

After Michael's recapture, Marion presumably stood at Loomis' side for the remainder of his life during his attempts at getting the deranged killer the death penalty. However, the pair's efforts would ultimately be in vain as Michael would remain incarcerated in the sanitarium and Loomis' theatrics never being taken seriously, despite Michael's heinous murders. At some point after 1979, Loomis passed away and Marion continued to work at Smith's Grove, presumably keeping a close eye on Michael's activities.

Later Life

In the years following the 1978 incident, Marion eventually got married to an unknown person. At some point, Marion came into contact with fellow Michael Myers survivors, Tommy Doyle, Lindsey Wallace, and Lonnie Elam. The three eventually became close friends, bonding over their shared experiences, and remained in a close friendship throughout the years following. She also at some point became aware of Laurie Strode, the sole survivor of Michael's initial attack in 1978.[2]

Death

When Michael attacks the car, Marion pointed her Revolver and told him: "This is Dr. Loomis!" unfortunately, she used all of her bullets and was stabbed multiply times by him.

Personality

Marion is a very direct woman. She isn't afraid to share her opinion on a situation be it good or bad, as shown when she questioned Loomis' authority about Michael getting released later in life. She is also intelligent enough to get herself out of a situation as when she was attacked by Michael Myers, her first instinct was to immediately dart for the nearest way out of the car.[1]

Appearances

Trivia

  • Marion is a heavy smoker.[1]
  • In Halloween Kills, a wedding ring is seen on Marion's finger, therefore, it can be assumed that she had gotten married by 2018. However, the identity and status of her spouse remains a mystery.
  • Halloween Kills is the second time Marion Chambers has died in the franchise.
    • In 1998's Halloween: H20, Marion was tracked down by Michael in his search for Laurie Strode and she was ultimately murdered in her own home during the film's opening scene.
