"I always thought Michael Myers was flesh and blood just like you and me, but a mortal man could not have survived what he's lived through. The more he kills, the more he transcends into something else impossible to defeat. Fear, people are afraid, that is the true curse of Michael. You can't defeat it with brute force. It is the essence of evil, the anger that divides us. It is the terror that grows stronger when we try to hide. If they don't stop him tonight, maybe we'll find him tomorrow, or next Halloween when the sun sets and someone is alone. You can't close your eyes and pretend he isn't there, because he is."
Laurie Strode.[src]

Michael Audrey Myers (October 19, 1957 – October 31, 2022) was a serial killer and the infamous stalker of Haddonfield, Illinois. Michael murdered his sister when he was six years old and later returned fifteen years later and stalked several teenagers on Halloween night, teenager Laurie Strode coming out the sole survivor. Biography

Early Life

Michael Audrey Myers was born on October 19, 1957 in Haddonfield, Illinois to Peter Myers and Edith Myers. Growing up, Michael began to display odd behaviour. On Halloween night, 1963, when Michael was just six years old, he noticed his sister and her boyfriend inside their house as they quickly ran upstairs. He then snuck inside through the back door and, upon entering the kitchen, he grabbed a kitchen knife. He then watched Judith's boyfriend leave as he crept up the stairs and into her room, noticing a clown mask on the floor and quickly putting it on.[1]

Michael Myers' parents

Michael's parents discover him after he murders his sister.

After Judith noticed him, she attempted to cover herself and screamed at him to get out of her room only for Michael begin repeatedly stabbing her with the kitchen knife until she eventually fell to the floor, dead. Hearing the sound of a car pulling up, Michael ran downstairs and out the front door where he was greeted by his parents who questioned what he was doing with a bloody knife. They then discovered the corpse of their daughter and Michael was sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium.[1]

Shortly after being admitted to the sanitarium, Michael met Dr. Sam Loomis who began to treat him for the remainder of his time incarcerated. However, after seven years trying to cure Michael's insanity, Loomis realized that there was no helping Michael and that he was just purely and simply evil. He then made it his duty to make sure that Michael was never released from custody.[1]

Escape From Smith's Grove

Michael reaches for Marion

Michael reaches for Marion.

In 1978, after Michael had turned twenty-one, he was required to attend court in order to see if he would be released or remain in custody for the remainder of his life. Dr. Loomis and Nurse Marion Chambers were given the responsibility of transferring Michael from Smith's Grove. However, by the time they arrived, many inmates had somehow managed to escape and began wandering around outside of the sanitarium gates. After Loomis had left to investigate, Michael climbed onto the roof of the car and smashed his hand through the driver window, grabbing onto Marion's hair and attempting to pull her out of the vehicle. However, she managed to break out of his hold and fell onto the passenger seat until he smashed his hand against the passenger window, making her open the driver door and throw herself out.

Michael sees Laurie and Tommy-0

Michael sees Laurie and Tommy.

This granted him access to enter the car and drive away from the scene. After making it away from the sanitarium, Michael ran a trucker off the road, murdered him, and stole his coveralls before making his way back to Haddonfield. Once he arrived, he used his childhood home as a hideout and spent the night. During the night, Michael robbed a costume store and stole several knives and a Halloween mask. In the morning, he remained in the house until he noticed a teenage girl and a young boy standing outside. When the girl walked up and placed a key beneath the welcome mat, Michael watched her through the door window, fascinated. As the two began to walk away, the boy departed and Michael watched as the girl walked down the street towards her school.

Stalking and Killing Residents

Later that day, while the girl was sitting in her classroom, she looked out the window to see Michael watching her from across the street, simply staring. After she looked away, Michael quickly left the scene and was gone by the time she looked back. After watching the girl, Michael drove to Haddonfield Elementary School where the young boy was at school. As one boy was running out as the bell rang, he ran into Michael, however, he spared the child and instead followed the young boy he saw before as he exited the school. Michael slowly followed him in the station wagon until he decided to just drive on back to watch the girl.

Michael waits in the backyard

Michael watches Laurie from in her backyard.

While driving, Michael saw the girl, Laurie Strode, walking home from school with her two friends, Annie Brackett and Lynda Van der Klok. His gaze never left them as he slowly drove past them. He was about to drive on until Annie yelled something at him, making him suddenly stop and frightening the three girls. He stayed like that for a minute before finally driving off. Later, after Lynda had already got home and it was just Laurie and Annie walking, Michael stood by a bush in front of them, Laurie spotting him. However, before she could warn Annie, Michael quickly disappeared from sight. He then followed Laurie all the way to her house and stood in her backyard, watching her through her bedroom window.

Michael is spotted by Tommy

Michael is spotted by Tommy from across the street.

When Laurie was picked up by Annie for them to both go babysitting, Michael tailed them on their way there in the station wagon. Along the way, they stopped in order to speak with Sheriff Brackett about the store that Michael had robbed previously. After they left, Michael noticed Dr. Loomis desperately searching for him but simply drove past him, Loomis not realising how close he was to capturing Michael. He followed the girls all the way to their destinations and parked outside the Wallace house where Annie was babysitting little Lindsey Wallace. He watched Annie through the windows of the house as she called Laurie and spoke with her about a boy named Ben Tramer. At one point, he was even spotted by Tommy Doyle from across the street, who alerted Laurie, however, she didn't believe his claims.

After Annie spilled butter all over her clothes, she undressed and quickly put a large shirt over herself as Michael watched her from the shadows. He attempted to get closer until he accidentely knocked over a flower pot, smashing it and alerting Annie, however, she quickly shrugged it off. The family dog, Lester, then approached Michael, growling at him which made Annie shout at him to shut up. Michael then grabbed the canine by the throat and broke his neck, silencing him for good. Annie finally went out to the dry cleaning room outside in order to wash her clothes and Michael silently followed her. He then locked her in, startling her and as she heard the phone begin to ring, she knew it was her boyfriend, Paul, and called for Lindsey to answer it.

Annie is strangled by Michael

Michael murders Annie.

She realised Lindsey wouldn't answer it and eventually attempted to climb out of the nearby window only to get stuck, screaming for Lindsey to come and help her. Lindsey then helped her and told Paul that she had gotten stuck in the window. When Annie got back into the kitchen, she took the phone and spoke to Paul, the two coming up with a plan to meet up. She then brought Lindsey over to the Doyle house so Laurie could look after her while she went to pick up Paul. She went back to the Wallace house, found the keys to her car and started it up. However, before she could drive off, Michael sat up in the back seat and began to strangle her. She did her best to struggle against him but he eventually just slit her throat to finish her off. After killing her, Michael carried her corpse into the house and hid her away.[1]

Michael stares at Bob's corpse

Michael stares at Bob's corpse.

Lynda and her boyfriend, Bob, later arrived at the house as Annie had promised they could spend the night together while she took care of Lindsey. They were concerned when Annie was nowhere to be seen but after calling Laurie, they learned she went to pick up Paul. After Michael watched them make out on the couch, the two went upstairs and slept together. Afterwards, Bob went back downstairs to retrieve a beer for both of them only to hear a noise outside, believing it was Annie, Bob looked outside but closed the door. He heard another noise from behind a door and he immediately assumed it to be Lynda playing a prank only for Michael break down the door and hold Bob by the throat up against the wall. He then stabbed Bob through the chest, so deep that he was hung up on the wall. Michael started at what he had done, mesmerized.

Lynda is attacked by Michael

Michael strangles Lynda.

He took Bob's glasses and put a ghost costume over himself in order to fool Lynda. When he got to the bedroom, Lynda assumed it was Bob and tried to persuade him to get back into bed. Once she got no reply, even for the beer she had requested, she got out of the bed and called Laurie in order to find out where Annie was. Michael started to slowly approach her and just as Laurie picked up the phone, he wrapped the phone cord around Lynda's neck and strangled her until she dropped dead. Laurie was extremely concerned and called down the phone asking if everything was alright, causing Michael to pick up the phone himself and simply heavily breath down the line. Startled, Laurie suddenly hung up the phone. Michael then spread the corpses of Bob, Lynda and Annie all around the bedroom of the Wallace house and placed his sister's tombstone above Annie's.

Final Fight

Michael appears beside Laurie

Concerned for her friend's safety, Laurie decided to check on them in the Wallace house, only to discover the corpses of her friends in the bedroom of the house. Distressed, she ran out onto the landing and began to cry, not noticing Michael slowly forming in the darkness behind her, allowing him to sneak up on her and graze her shoulder with his knife. She screamed at him and fell over the banister, fracturing her ankle as she fell down the stairs. He began to descend down the stairs as Laurie quickly ran into the kitchen and locked the door, attempting to escape through the back door. He reached the kitchen door himself and eventually just smashed his hand through and unlocked it from the other side but before he could reach her, she had already made it out through the back door.[1]

Michael appears behind Laurie

Michael tries to stab Laurie from behind.

She managed it reach the Doyle house across the street but lost her keys and screamed at Tommy to let her in, just as Michael appeared from behind the Wallace house and began his pursuit of Laurie. He made it to the sidewalk before Laurie made it inside, ordering Tommy to get Lindsey and hide in the bathroom. However, Michael managed to get inside through an open window and attempted to stab Laurie from behind the sofa, only to miss which allowed her to stab him in the neck with a nearby knitting needle. Believing Michael was finally dead, Laurie went to check on Tommy and Lindsey and told them about what happened.

Michael breaks into the closet

Michael breaks into the closet to find Laurie.

However, Michael had survived the ordeal and walked up the stairs to see Laurie trying to calm the kids down. After Tommy spotted him, Laurie ordered them back into the bathroom and she ran into the bedroom herself, hiding in the closet. When Michael entered the room, he immediately went to the closet, shaking the door and eventually breaking it down with his bare hands. However, Laurie grabbed a clothes hanger and used it to stab him in the eye, blinding him or a limited time, giving her time to grab his knife and stab him in the stomach with it, knocking him to the ground. She emerged from the closet and threw his knife to the ground, letting the kids know that it is safe and also ordering them to run to the neighbor's house and ask them to call the police.

Michael lands in the yard

Michael lands in the yard after being shot by Loomis.

She sat on the floor, pondering everything that had just happened, not knowing Michael was still alive and had sat up behind her, still staring. As she stood up and began to walk away, he also stood up and followed her closely and slowly. Once he reached her on the landing, he began to strangle her and intended on killing her before Dr. Loomis suddenly ran upstairs and held a gun at him. He let go of Laurie when she ripped his mask off, exposing his face. After Michael quickly put his mask back on, Loomis shot him once, sending away from Laurie and back into the bedroom and then shot him again another five times, sending him over the balcony and into the yard. However, once Loomis looked down for him, Michael was gone.[1]

Michael is captured

Michael is captured on Halloween, 1978.

After Michael left the yard, he continued to roam the streets of Haddonfield, leading him to come into contact with the young Lonnie Elam. However, as the child began begging for his life, Michael left him alive and continued on his journey to return to his childhood home, taking refuge in his sister's old room. After hearing two officers, Frank Hawkins and Pete McCabe, enter the house, Michael quickly hid in a nearby closet until he was able to get the jump on McCabe, putting him into a chokehold as Hawkins attempted to help him. After Hawkins ended up shooting and killing his partner, Michael attempted another escape until he was ambushed by Loomis and the entirety of the Haddonfield Sheriff's Department who forced him to the ground and attempted to execute him until Hawkins stopped them, feeling some kind of sympathy. Therefore, Michael was taken back into custody that night.[2][3]

Aftermath of 1978

Forty Years in Captivity

After the events that took place on Halloween night, Michael lost any chance of ever being released and remained at Smith's Grove for the majority for his life. He also remained under the care of Dr. Loomis up until his death sometime between 1979 and 2018, after which he was put under the care of Loomis' student, Dr. Ranbir Sartain. Sartain began to idolize Michael and became fascinated with his reasoning behind what he does, aiming to get Michael to finally speak. However, he was never successful and Michael's demeanor remained the same.[2]

2018 Massacre

Life in Smith's Grove

Aaron shows Michael his mask

Michael is shown his mask by Aaron.

By 2018, Michael had shown no signs of recovery and was set to be transferred to a maximum security facility on October 30, 2018. On that day, Michael was visited by investigative journalists Aaron Korey and Dana Haines as research for their documentary revolving around the 1978 murder spree. Aaron approached him and introduced himself, receiving no response in return. Unnerved by his silence, Aaron slowly retrieved something from his bag, Michael's withered and decayed mask from 1978. While Michael still displayed little to no response, the other patients around them began exhibiting odd behaviors, laughing and crying. Startled by the other inmates and annoyed by Michael's lack of response, Aaron and Dana quickly left the sanitarium. That night, Michael was prepared by the guards to be transferred to the new facility and was quickly loaded onto a prison bus alongside many other inmates. He was also accompanied by Dr. Sartain at the latter's firm request. As the bus pulled out of the sanitarium, Laurie Strode watched on and faced her demon head on.

Second Escape and Killing Spree

Michael sneaks up behind Kevin

Michael sneaks up behind Kevin.

The bus itself never got very far before it crashed on the side of a nearby road, setting all of the inmates free, including Michael, and injuring, if not killing, all of the staff on board. The crash site was eventually discovered by a boy named Kevin and his father during a late night drive and the man went to investigate with his gun in hand. This eventually resulted in Michael murdering Kevin's father by violently snapping his neck. After the boy left the car to investigate himself, Michael managed to carefully sneak into the back seat and hide before Kevin managed to get back in. As the boy tried to start the car up to no avail, Michael approached him from the backseat and strangled him before breaking his neck and dumping his corpse. He then stole their car and used it to drive back to Haddonfield.

Michael watches Dana and Aaron

Michael watches Dana and Aaron in a graveyard.

By the time Michael reached the small town, it was already morning, and his first order of business was to retrieve his long-lost mask back from the journalists that had managed to come into possession of it. He stalked them throughout their day and watched from a distance as they visited and studied the grave of Michael's late sister, Judith, before packing up their equipment and preparing to leave Haddonfield empty handed. Before leaving, the pair stopped at a nearby gas station to fuel up their vehicle with Michael following closely behind them. Shortly arriving, Michael swiftly murdered the station staff, including a nearby engineer who he stole the coveralls of and a cashier at the front of the shop, breaking the cashier's jaw and ripping out his teeth.

Michael retrieves his mask

Michael finally retrieves his infamous mask.

He then followed Dana into the gas station's bathroom and began searching the stalls for her, alerting her to his presence and startling her. Once he tried to open her stall, she held it closed and told him to go away before he lifted his hand over the stall door and dropped the various teeth he had previously ripped out of the cashier. Dana quickly realized who was standing outside and attempted to quickly escape by crawling under the stalls and holding the stall door shut as Michael began barging into the door. However, he was stopped by Aaron who suddenly ran into the bathroom and unsuccessfully tried to attack Michael with a crowbar, resulting in him having his bashed repeatedly into the stall door until the door itself was broken open. After dealing with Aaron, Michael grabbed Dana by the neck and strangled her against the stall until she finally died. He then walked to their car where he finally retrieved his infamous mask from 1978 and quickly left the gas station.

Michael looks for a new victim

Michael looks out for his next victim.

That night, as trick-or-treaters filled the streets of Haddonfield, Michael began his second killing spree within the small town. After accidently running into a pair of children, he set his sights on a nearby house that he saw a middle-aged woman, Gina Panchella, enter. He entered the shed in her backyard and retrieved a hammer before entering the house directly behind the woman. After she sat at a table with a sandwich, Michael approached and bashed her head in with a hammer, killing her and retrieving a nearby kitchen knife afterwards. Before he left the house, he briefly stared at the woman's baby before deciding to spare its life and leave the house.

Michael kills Andrea

Michael kills Andrea.

After leaving, Michael briefly encountered a couple arguing about attending a local Halloween party before noticing a woman, Andrea Wagner, giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. After the children left, she was called by her friend who warned her of Michael's escape, unaware that he was currently watching her through her window. As she spoke more on the phone, Michael quickly walked around to the back entrance of the house and managed to get in. Andrea, still unaware, walked to the window where Michael stood previously, looking around for any suspicious behavior before nervously shutting the blinds. Michael then managed to approach the unaware woman and bash her head against the glass before stabbing her in the throat, killing her.

Michael attacks Vicky

Michael attacks Vicky.

Eventually, Michael came upon the Morrisey House during his rampage where teenager Vicky was babysitting the young Julian Morrisey. He somehow quickly gained access to the house and managed to hide in Julian's closet before he was put to bed. After Julian saw a glimpse of Michael, he quickly ran downstairs and asked Vicky to check for him with her coming to the conclusion that the room was safe, unaware of Michael's presence. After putting Julian to bed a second time, Vicky attempted to close the closet door but couldn't due to Michael standing in the way. Curious, she opened the door to check what was wrong only to be met by Michael raising his kitchen knife and slashing open her wrist.

Michael drags Vicky

Michael drags Vicky by her ankle.

After composing herself, Vicky attempted to defend herself with a nearby chair which successfully stunned Michael for a few seconds only for her to accidently slip and fall on the landing floor. Disoriented, she was unable to move which gave Michael the chance to grab her by the ankle and drag her back into Julian's room. However, she desperately held onto the stair railing and called for help from her boyfriend, Dave, who was also in the house at the time. After sometime of her screaming, Michael was ultimately able to drag her back into the child's room and stab her two times in the back, eventually penetrating her heart and killing her. He then propped her corpse onto a nearby chair and covered in with a sheet. Dave eventually encountered him but was ultimately stabbed through the neck so deep that he was pinned to a wall in the living room, killing him.

Michael notices Laurie

Michael notices Laurie.

After displaying the corpses of the teens, Michael noticed Officer Frank Hawkins approach the house in response to a nearby call about a disturbance. Whilst the cop searched the house for any casualties, eventually finding both Vicky and Dave, Michael noticed Laurie Strode, the one victim of his that managed to escape, arrive just outside of the Morrisey House. Eventually, she looked up through the window and the pair locked eyes together for the first time in forty years. After a moment of shock, she attempted to shoot him directly in the head only to realize she was looking at mirror showcasing his reflection. This gave Michael the chance to quickly leave the house but not before being noticed by Hawkins, barely missing a shot from him. However, once he reached the yard of the house, Laurie managed to shoot Michael in the shoulder, barely allowing him to escape.

Michael meets Allyson

Michael shows himself to Allyson.

Eventually, Michael made his way into a nearby yard where he encountered two teens, Allyson Nelson and Oscar. After Oscar attempted to kiss Allyson, she became annoyed and ended up jumping the fence and leaving him in the yard alone. Once he turned around, Oscar noticed Michael standing still in the distance, watching him silently, and confused him for the owner of the land, Mr. Elrod. Oscar was about to leave as the motion sensor lights turned off and on and he noticed Michael slowly get closer to him, worrying him. After the lights turned off a final time, Michael approached Oscar and slashed his arm, causing him to panic and rush toward the fence, crying for Allyson's help. However, he was ultimately stabbed in the back by Michael and had his jaw impaled by the spiked fence. Allyson eventually returned to help him but was shocked to stare at his hanging corpse and began to scream and run away once Michael emerged from the shadows.[2]

Michael stares at Sartain

Michael stares down at Sartain after killing him.

After killing Oscar, Michael planned on continuing his murder spree until he was located by Hawkins and Dr. Sartain, who had previously saved a panicked Allyson. Michael was then brutally hit by Hawkins' car but was merely knocked unconscious. Sartain, who sought to witness Michael's violence out in the open, stabbed and killed Hawkins several times, loaded Michael into the police car beside a distraught Allyson and drove off toward the house of Laurie Strode. After Allyson eventually convinced Sartain to stop the car, Michael finally woke up and stared at Allyson before kicking the bars of the car into Sartain's back, crushing him against the steering wheel. He then dragged the doctor out of the car and watched, motionless, as Allyson quickly squeezed out of the hole created by Michael and ran off into the nearby woods. After the doctor still attempted to make him speak, Michael finally killed him by stomping on and crushing his head just as another cop car pulled up.

Showdown with Laurie

Michael is spotted by Laurie

Michael is spotted by Laurie.

After they went to investigate Michael's doing, both Officer Richards and Officer Francis were murdered by him, then leading him to steal their car and drive off towards Laurie's home to confront her once again. After pulling up at the house, Michael quickly retreated from the car into the shadows as he was noticed by Ray Nelson, who approached them to investigate. Michael then snuck up behind him and began strangling him a set of wind chimes he had ripped off of the side of the house and eventually snapping his neck, however, not before he managed to set off two shots that alerted both Laurie and her daughter, Karen, of Michael's arrival. After finally spotting him, Laurie quickly got Karen to safety and backed against the door, awaiting Michael's attack, leading him to smash his hands through the door and hold her off the floor by her neck. As the two struggled, Michael was eventually forced to retreat after Laurie shot off her shotgun and severed three of Michael's fingers, setting herself free.

Michael chokes Laurie

After Laurie then got herself to safety alongside Karen and activated the house's floodlights, Michael managed to break through the door and enter the house, then beginning to search for them. He silently stalked through the living area and kitchen before suddenly being shot at from below, within the house's basement. This caused him to flee into the shadows of the house, awaiting Laurie's search for him, also taking Ray's corpse with him and hiding in a closet for Laurie to find. After she left the basement, she began to scope the entire house, locking off empty rooms in the process. Once she reached one of the bedrooms, she was shocked to find Ray's corpse and shaken enough to allow Michael to quickly emerge from behind a crowd and mannequins and ambush her, holding her against the wall with her own gun against her throat. She managed to escape his grasp and then equipped a blade, attempting to stab him only for Michael to swiftly grab it and, after some struggle, stab Laurie in the stomach. He attempted to grab her again, only for Laurie to aggressively bite down on his wounded hand, angering Michael and causing him to throw her over the room's balcony onto the grass below.

Michael appears before Karen

Michael appears in front of Karen.

Michael stared down at a seemingly unconscious Laurie until he suddenly heard the voice of Allyson enter the house through the front door. Once he looked back toward Laurie, she appeared to mysteriously disappear, just as Michael had done in 1978. He then descended back down the stairs toward Allyson and grabbed a nearby fire poker as he prepared to slaughter anyone he found. After hearing the panicked sounds from both Karen and Allyson within the basement, Michael realized where they were hiding and approached the kitchen island that disguised the basement's entrance. After managing to rip it off of it's hinges, Michael remained hidden as Karen called out for Laurie, refusing to shoot Michael out of fear. Confident they were vulnerable, Michael emerged and stood at the top of the stairs only for Karen to reveal her panicking was all an act, allowing her swiftly shoot Michael in the face, causing him to drop his knife and become disoriented.

Michael burns

Michael is engulfed in flames as Laurie's house burns.

As Michael was disoriented, Laurie emerged from the shadows and took the chance to ambush him with a knife of her own, stabbing him, however, Michael was quickly able to recover and knocked her into the kitchen. This gave her the chance to quickly grab a nearby frying pan and bash Michael's face with it, eventually knocking him down the stairs and into the basement. As he recovered from the fall, Laurie quickly got Allyson to safety, however, when Michael managed to get back up, he swiftly grabbed Karen's ankle before she was able to escape. He attempted to drag her back into his dangerous grasp as Laurie held onto her daughter tightly, only for Allyson to suddenly grab Michael's discarded knife and slash his wrists, causing him to let go of Karen and allowing her to kick him in the face, sending him falling back into the basement. Before he could recover and reach the top once again, Karen quickly pulled a stubborn lever that barred up the entrance, effectively trapping Michael within the basement. Laurie then set of several blow torches all throughout the house, setting it aflame and leaving Michael to burn, finally believing the massacre to be over. Michael only stared at the three women as they made their escape.[2]

Going Home

Michael escapes Laurie's House

Michael escapes Laurie's house.

As the house burned, Michael took refuge behind a nearby shutter upon hearing the Haddonfield Fire Department enter the scene, breaking into the house and searching for any potential survivors. Eventually, a firefighter ended up falling into the basement, causing Michael to reveal himself and approach the man, grabbing his halligan bar and brutally smashing his face in. Another firefighter suddenly approached and attempted to save any survivors in the basement, inadvertently helping Michael exit the basement and emerge from the burning building, leaving the other firefighters in shock. As Michael began to slowly approach the team, they attempted to fight back with their tools, however, this was in vain as he aggressively slaughtered all of them, bashing faces in, slashing throats, and sawing flesh before making his escape back into the streets of Haddonfield.

Michael attacks Phil

Michael attacks Phil.

Shortly after leaving Laurie's, Michael began making his way back to his childhood home, finding himself in the house of Laurie's neighbours, Phil and Sondra Dickerson, hiding in the shadows of their bathroom as the couple discussed the fire in the neighbourhood. As Sondra accidently flew her drone into the bathroom, Michael grabbed it and threw it back toward them, alerting the two of the intruder in their home. Phil chose to investigate and turned on the bathroom light, revealing Michael watching them and leading him to smash the light. The pair began screaming as Michael grabbed Phil through a nearby window and began smashing his head into the wall before impaling his neck on a shard of broken glass and pulling him through completely, leaving him on the floor to bleed out.

Michael stabs Phil

Michael stabs Phil's corpse as Sondra watches.

He then set his sights on Sondra, who attempted to escape through the back door of the house, to no avail. Michael then noticed a lightbar above the kitchen counter and ripped it off the hinges, smashing it off of the counter as Sondra continued to desperately beg for her life. He finally approached her and proceeded to stab her deep in the neck with the shattered light bar but still keeping her alive, watching as she still attempted to walk away but fall to the kitchen floor. Noticing her still breathing, Michael retrieved Phil's corpse and propped it onto the kitchen counter, forcing Sondra to watch as he stabbed Phil continuously with several kitchen knives, continuing until he decided to take one of the knives for himself and leave the woman to stare on at her husband's body as she bled out.

Michael is spotted by Marion

Michael is spotted by Marion.

In his continued walk through Haddonfield, Michael eventually came across a young boy named Dennis, who he brutally murdered and took the skeleton mask of. He then set his sights on Dennis' friends, Christy and Mindy, leading him to come across past victims, Lindsey Wallace and Marion Chambers, along with couple, Marcus and Vanessa Wilson. After being spotted by Marion, Michael quickly climbed onto the roof of their car and began distracting the group, throwing the mask onto the windscreen and smashing his hand on Marion's window, leading her to shoot and destroy them both. He was then able to grab Marion's hair and almost pull her through the window, allowing Vanessa some time to climb out of the car window and escape as Marcus attempted to help. After losing his grip on her, Michael finally jumped down from the roof and faced the two remaining. Marion attempted to shoot him but discovered she was out of bullets, allowing Michael to climb into the front seat and brutally stab her to death.

Michael chokes Lindsey

Marcus then tried to strangle Michael with his stethoscope but was quickly stabbed in the eye with his kitchen knife, falling back into the seat, dead. Soon after, Michael heard several gunshots from the distance, spotting Vanessa attempting to shoot him from a distance and slowly moving in. However, he swiftly kicked the car door into her, causing her to accidently point the gun toward herself and shoot herself in the head, immediately killing her. While looking over Vanessa's corpse, Lindsey finally approached Michael and hit him over the head twice with a bag filled with bricks until he was able to grab her by the neck, holding her against her car. She was then able to almost remove his mask, distracting him long enough to run into the nearby woods. Michael swiftly followed but slowly searched the area for her, unable to discover her hiding in the riverbank below, eventually giving up and continuing his journey home.

Little John confronts Michael

Michael is discovered by Little John.

Finally, Michael was able to find his way home, discovering the new residents, married couple, Big John and Little John. He quietly made his way through the back door and immediately hid upstairs, alerting the couple to his presence after making some noise. He watched on as both Johns split up to search the various rooms before managing to ambush Big John as he entered Judith's old bedroom, stabbing him in the armpit before finishing him off by gouging his eyes out. After finally reaching his destination, Michael took the time to look out of the bedroom window, unaware of Little John entering the room and discovering his husband's corpse. Once he made himself known, Michael turned and slowly walked towards him, proceeding to finish him off as well. He then placed the couple's corpses together next to a photo, morbidly mirroring their happier times together.

Michael grabs Allyson

Michael grabs Allyson.

Planning to spend the rest of the night in the safety of his home, Michael eventually noticed a car pull up outside, containing Lonnie Elam, Allyson Nelson, and Cameron Elam, all aiming to hunt Michael down. Once Lonnie entered the house first, he was quickly ambushed by Michael, who proceeded to crush him in the house's attic door, leaving his corpse to be discovered. He then continued hiding after hearing Allyson and Cameron enter soon after, with them initially investigating the first floor before ascending to the second and discovering the corpses of Big John and Little John. Cameron then continued to investigate the landing, discovering the corpse of his father and allowing Michael to swiftly emerge and ambush him, stabbing him several times in the stomach. As Allyson suddenly emerged, she attempted to shoot at Michael, who grabbed and threw her shotgun to the floor. She then stabbed him several times in the stomach before he was able to grab her by the hair, smash her head on the railing and throw her down the stairs, breaking her leg.

Michael confronts Allyson

Michael confronts Allyson.

Still occupied with Cameron, Michael lifted him by the hair and smashed his face through the stair railings, proceeding to smash his neck and face over the railing until he was no longer able to talk, all the while Allyson screamed his name from the bottom of the stairs. After seemingly leaving Cameron to die, Michael began to descend the stairs toward Allyson before suddenly stopping and brutally snapping Cameron's neck, finally killing him as a screaming Allyson watched on. While approaching her, she attempted to swing at Michael with her knife, only for him to grab her wrist and push the knife toward her. She then began screaming for him to do it before Karen suddenly appeared and stabbed Michael in the back with a pitchfork, sending him to the floor of the stairs and leading her to stamp on his face and take his mask from him.

Karen stabs Michael

Michael is stabbed by Karen.

A now unmasked Michael stood and walked to the porch toward Karen, who held the mask out toward him, attempting to get him to follow her and leave Allyson. Finally, he began to slowly walk toward her and she simultaneously began running through the streets of Haddonfield with Michael close behind. Eventually, Michael came across his mask in a dark, empty street before he was suddenly illuminated by car lights, revealing hundreds of angry Haddonfield citizens surrounding him with weapons, including Tommy Doyle and Leigh Brackett. Michael quickly put his mask back on and prepared to slaughter every last one of them before they managed to beat him to the ground, each of them taking their swing at him. After he was thrown to the ground, Michael attempted to reach his knife before it was grabbed by Karen, who plunged it into his back before leaving.

Michael appears behind Karen

Michael appears behind Karen before killing her.

A heavily wounded Michael then lay gasping on the ground as the crowd began preparing to deliver the final blow. Suddenly, Michael regained some kind of strength and picked himself up, slitting the throat of Brackett before continuing to slaughter every last one of the townspeople, using their various weapons against them. He then stabbed Tommy and beat his head in with his own baseball bat before fleeing the bloody scene and returning to the Myers House, where various paramedics were seeing to Karen and Allyson. Karen eventually reentered the house and went to investigate the window of Judith's bedroom, allowing Michael to sneak up behind her and begin relentlessly stabbing her, spilling blood on the window and his own mask. After she fell to the floor, dead, Michael retook his spot at the window and stared out as his own bloody reflection, with the carnage of the night behind him.[3]
